The Pacific Advantage

This past month hundreds of people from around the country in the food and beverage industry gathered in Portland for the International Association of Culinary Professionals yearly conference. Pacific Seafood had the pleasure of presenting a seminar on species from the Pacific Ocean to a group of 100 people. We discussed salmon, rock fish, pink shrimp, albacore tuna and Dungeness crab. In addition to the species, we talked about sustainable practices in fishing management.

At Pacific Seafood, we are calling our approach to sustainable practices in fishing management “The Pacific Advantage.” Under the umbrella of The Pacific Advantage, we have created strict goals and guidelines for the company concerning sustainability, stewardship, quality assurance and traceability.
